Are you spending enough time in your kitchen at your new apartments in Spring? If you ask us, the kitchen should be your favorite room in your apartment. The more you love your kitchen, the more you’ll use it. The more you use the kitchen, the more money you’ll save by not going out! It’s a win-win proposition, but the first step is falling in love with your kitchen.
If you want to start spending more time in your kitchen, you’ve come to the right place. This week’s post is all about decorating your kitchen and giving yourself the tools you need to get motivated to cook. We’ll be talking about everything from entertainment to ingredients, so without further delay, let’s dive right into the post! Oh, and when you’re done reading through it, please be sure to share the link to this page with your friends and neighbors at Rise Spring Cypress — the new apartments Spring, TX residents choose for comfort and convenience.
Set up a mini-entertainment center
You know what’s nice about ordering food for delivery? Someone else has to cook while you get to continue watching the game or your Netflix shows. If you’re in the middle of one of these games or shows, it can be hard to find the motivation to get up and cook dinner. It would be a lot easier for you to find that motivation if you could continue watching while you cooked dinner, right? That’s what we recommend putting an iPad and a Bluetooth speaker in your kitchen at eye-level. You’d be amazed at the difference it makes!
Stock your spice cupboard
Whether you decide to go with a spice rack or a spice cupboard, investing in tons of spices is one of the best things you can do for yourself. If you don’t like the taste of your own food, it’s probably because you haven’t been adding enough seasoning to it. The more herbs and spices you have, the more combinations you can test out until you find a few that you like! You’ll probably create some unusual flavors while you’re experimenting, but you’ll figure it out with a little practice.
Store food where you can see it
Believe it or not, food actually makes for decent decor. All you have to do is invest in some clear plastic or glass storage containers first! Once you have those, you can put your dry goods out on the counter like your pasta, rice, grains, popcorn kernels, and whatever else you’ve got. Not only does having the food out look good; it makes you that much more likely to cook when you get home! Seeing the food out on your counter is as good of an incentive as any to cook for yourself instead of ordering in.
That concludes our list of kitchen decor tips, residents!
