Recipe Ideas from your Apartments near Spring

  |     |   Uncategorized

Your brand new community of apartments near Spring is back with another installment of our blog series, and this week’s post is all about cooking! Specifically, we’ll be sharing recipes for summer salads. It’s about the be the hottest it’ll be all year, and the last thing you want to eat in that kind of weather is heavy, hot food. Some of the salads on this list are more complicated than others, but they’re all ideal low-calorie options for a summer cookout or picnic.

Whether you’re into veggie salads or protein-filled salads, we think you’ll find your ideal summer salad on the list below. Without further delay, let’s get right to it! When you get done reading through this week’s post, please feel free to share the link to this page with your friends and neighbors at Rise Spring Cypress — the new apartments Spring, TX residents choose for upscale comfort and style.

Summer Corn Salad

Grab these ingredients so you can get started:

  • Corn

  • Tomatoes

  • Onions

  • Olive Oil

  • White Vinegar

  • Salt & Pepper

The first salad on our list is also the easiest to make. It’s surprisingly flavorful for such a simple salad, and it’s the perfect compliment to a burger off the grill. We love this salad because the vinegar pairs perfectly with the flavors of the tomatoes, and the corn provides a nice filler. GIve it a shot next time you need a light side dish!

BLT Pasta Salad

Grab these ingredients so you can get started:

  • Seashell Pasta

  • Bacon

  • Onion

  • Tomatoes

  • Ranch Dressing

This next salad isn’t the healthiest dish on our list, but it’s still healthier than going to the burger joint down the street. If you want to make it a little healthier, you can use light ranch dressing or find veggie pasta instead of the real stuff. No matter how you decide to make this dish, it’ll taste delicious and make for a nice cool summer dish at the end of a hot day.

Cucumber Tomato Salad

Grab these ingredients so you can get started:

  • Cucumbers

  • Zucchini

  • Red Onions

  • Tomatoes

  • Basil

  • Thyme

  • Black Olives

  • Balsamic Vinegar

  • Lemon

  • Sugar

  • Olive Oil

Last but not least, we have the perfect salad. This dish has just enough ingredients to make it interesting, but not so many that you’ll feel overwhelmed making it. The key to this dish is using every part of the lemon. You’ll scrape off some lemon zest and add it to the top of the salad, and squeeze out lemon juice and mix it in as dressing. Enjoy, residents!
